Quilled Heart Flower

Hello and welcome!!

Here with more Valentine cards... This time I'm sharing a card using one of my favorite techniques: quilling.
First, I stamped the sentiment and the leaves and colored them with colored pencils.
Then die cut the flower vase four times, three from white cardstock and one from polka dots cardstock, and glued them together to give dimension to my flower vase.
Finally, I quilled a pink heart and glued to my card... Simple and beautiful!!

Here's my card...

Here's a closer look of the heart and the vase...

You're my Sunshine!

Hello and welcome!!

Happy New Year everyone!! I'm so excited because this is my first post of 2017, yay!!

I already sent all the January birthday cards, so now I can start making Valentine's cards, hurrah!!

I'll be posting more Valentine cards the following days, so stay tuned!! :)

Here is my card for today...

A closer look...

It's a simple one layer card. I sponged the sky with distress ink and colored the sun with colored pencils.

I was inspired by Anita's card  at Muse Card Club Challenge #198.
I used the round/ circular element as inspiration. So, for my card the sun it's the circular focal image.

This is Anita's card:

Muse Challenge #196

Hello and welcome!!

Today I'm sharing a card I made to play at Muse Card Club Challenge #196.

This week's Muse is Tracey Mcneely. She has created a beautiful clean & simple card, featuring a pink watercolor butterfly and a large sentiment.

How was I inspired by Tracey's card?
  • The colors. I used watercolor paper and 3 shades of pink to create the gradient effect.
  • The insect (instead of a butterfly I used a ladybug).
  • Tracey embellished her butterfly with three Nuvo drops, so instead I used three sequins as embellishments.
  • The large beautiful sentiment
Here is my card...

I die cut extra wings from vellum and adhered them with small pieces of foam tape to give dimension to my ladybug.

Guest Designer - Inkspirational Challenge #124

Hello and welcome!!
I'm honored and excited to be the Guest Designer for Inkspirational Challenge #124.

This week is a Color challenge using Neutrals Only

My project for this challenge is a Christmas card using the colors: gray and white.

Here is my card...

As this is a Christmas card, I needed to add a bit of sparkle, so the ribbon was the perfect touch.

I love how this card turned out, so I used this design for my Christmas cards 2016.
I made them in red and green, and they look as pretty as the gray version.
Here's a look...

How to make this card:
1. Form a card base from gray cardstock and stamp the stars using white pigment ink.
2. Die cut a stitched rectangle panel and heat embossed the sentiment and the tree.
3. Adhere the ribbon to the stitched panel and the die cut star to the tree.
4.Adhere the panel to the card base with foam adhesive.

For more inspiration from the Design Team head over to Inkspirational Challenge blog, and  I hope you'll play along, too!!

Have a great day and thanks so much for visiting!!
Hugs,
Raquel

Happy Halloween 2016!

Hello and welcome!! I wanted to make Halloween cards but I didn't' have any Halloween stamp, so I got some digital stamps by Mo Manning at Mo's Digital Pencil. Her site has the cutest images and I know you'd love them.

I made two clean and simple cards. I just printed and colored both images using Spectrum Noir markers (colors used are listed on the supplies list at the bottom of the post).

For the second card I stamped "Halloween", and die cut  "happy" from orange and purple cardstock. I glued a giggle eye to the letter "O" for a "spooky' look.

**********
¡Hola y bienvenidos!

Butterfly & Flowers

Hello there!!  I made this birthday card for my mother-in -law, she loves butterflies and flowers. So it's perfect to celebrate her special day.

I  stamped the flowers using the masking technique and then colored all the images with my Spectrum Noir markers, all colors used are listed on the supplies list at the bottom of the post.

I added some gold dots to the center of the flowers using a gold glitter pen.

I love this bright combination of colors, especially the butterfly.
